Banksy the Cynic

You can see the graffiti artist Banksy as the descendant of Diogenes the Cynic, who famously 'defaced the currency' of Athenian culture, satirizing it through street performance and exposing it as empty.
Seems to me that's what the Situationists of 1968 did, and what Banksy does today.
His most recent work even quotes Diogenes. Here are some of his more Cynical pieces.
